Broken Shoulder Reported by Passenger in Venice Italy Cruise Ship Accident

While initial reports of the MSC Opera’s violent crash did not share details injuries, more information has become available.

A New Zealand citizen’s shoulder was broken when the cruise ship rammed into the smaller River Countess cruise ship before colliding with the pier inside the Giudecca Canal in Venice, Italy . The woman – Joy Milmine – suffered the injury during the incident and was being treated locally.

Other injuries were reported, with two Australians and one American among those hurt.
