Cruise Hive reports that, “a 52-year-old American female guest passed away early this morning aboard Royal Princess as the ship was enroute to Aruba. It was reported to the local authorities who met and boarded the ship upon arrival. The cause of death is not yet known at this time.” The information was provided to them by Princess Cruises.

Both articles reported: “A women on royal princess princess cruise line was pushed or fell from the lido 15th or 16th deck onto the top of life boat #2 at 4 am in the morning. She died instantly. Once the ship arrived into Aruba, authorities boarded the ship. Outcome of investigation is unknown. Passengers said the scene was gruesome.”
It is unclear whether the passenger fell or was pushed. She struck a lifeboat during the fall.
Passengers on the ship were informed that there was a serious incident and that local authorities from Aruba were coming onboard to investigate. Aruba is located in the southern Caribbean near the coast of Venezuela.
According to Cruise Hive, “The Princess cruise ship is currently sailing an 8-night Southern Caribbean itinerary which departed Fort Lauderdale, Florida on November 9. The ship is scheduled to depart Aruba today at 10:00 PM and then sail to Kralendijk, Bonaire with an arrival tomorrow. The large vessel will arrive back in Florida on November 17.”
