MSC Cruises to Become First Mainstream Cruise Line to Base Cruise Ship in Havana, Cuba

MSC Cruises will homeport MSC Opera in Havana, Cuba from the winter 2015-16 season — the first mainstream cruise line to do so.
The line will operate 16 Caribbean cruises on the 2,120-passenger ship, including stops in Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and Mexico — with two nights and two and a half days in the Cuban capital.

While MSC does not currently sail from the United States, they do plan to base in a ship in Miami relatively soon (based on increasing demand). The world’s 4th largest cruise line will soon be making waves in Miami, and with US/Cuban relations warming, may eventually offer travel from Miami to Cuba.
