News reports, including WINK News of Southwest Florida, say the Caribbean Princess cruise ship cut short it’s Caribbean voyage after a gastrointestinal outbreak ravaged the ship.

At least 299 passengers and 22 crew members developed stomach issues related to the illness. With 10% of the cruise’s passengers developing the bug, the Health Ministry of Trinidad & Tobago denied entry to one of its island ports.

The vessel returned to Fort Lauderdale. The trip began on Feb. 2 on a 2-week cruise, but had to return on Feb. 10.
