Details are still coming forward, but apparently the Holland America cruise ship Ryndam was the scene of a murder-suicide…at least that’s the story as of Friday, April 3.
The initial reports from Fox News, CNN and other news outlets from Thursday April 2 tell of a bloody scene inside of a passenger cabin in which a couple from Cleveland were found dead.
Quoted from the Fox News article: “blood was found in the cabin aboard the Ryndam, but it was unclear how the couple died. “We don’t know yet whether an object was used or what the motive was.”
The ship originally departed from Tampa, Florida on its way to a 2 week Caribbean cruise. Ryndam was in Puerto Rico when the couple was found. The FBI has now taken over the investigation
“We are terribly saddened by this tragic event,” a representative of Holland America Cruise Lines said in a statement.
Murder-Suicide? Double murder? We don’t know the answers yet to this story but will be following up with details as they’re made available.
