Navy helicopter rescues Canadian passenger from cruise ship
An 83 year old passenger was taken from the Princess Cruises Emerald Princess after showing signs of a possible stroke. The US Coast Guard was called after the ship’s medical team determined that the passenger needed advanced medical services.
The airlift took place as the Emerald Princess was off the coast of Hawaii. The passenger was medevac’d by a Navy MH-60R Seahawk helicopter crew from Kaneohe Bay’s Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 37 and taken to the The Queen’s Medical Center.
