Cruise Ship Passenger Suffers Head Injury on Carnival Ecstasy

slip and fall carnival shipLive 5 News out of Charleston, SC reported on April 15 that a passenger who had suffered a head injury during a fall while cruising aboard the Carnival Ecstasy had to be airlifted from the ship as it made it’s way back to port in Charleston.

The ship was 75 miles from the Florida coast. The Coast Guard took the elderly woman to a Florida hospital.

No word on how or why the incident occurred. Attached Coast Guard images show the woman being prepared for evacuation from the ship.
