Costa Mediterranea Lifeboat Exercise Results in Mechanical Difficulties

Maritime Bulletin, which covers maritime and Crimean shipping news, reported that the Costa Mediterranea cruise ship experienced mechanical difficulties raising lifeboats back into their davits after a lifeboats exercise this weekend while stopped in Stavanger, Norway.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Floating cranes on barges were called in to put the lifeboats back in place before the cruise ship could complete her scheduled itinerary.

Costa Mediterranea is operated by Costa Mediterranea and is a Spirit-class cruise ship which can carry over 2,600 cruise ship passengers.
