We received and inquiry on our website from a passenger who was injured in a fall while cruising with Royal Caribbean on the Navigator of the Seas cruise ship.
The passenger explained what happened with the accident and was asking “what their rights were” and should they take “legal action?”
Naturally, when a passenger contacts our law firm to inquire about their rights and their ability to seek compensation from Royal Caribbean for the accident, there are a number of questions that we need to ask the passenger.
Our goal in asking these questions is 1) to determine if in fact they do have grounds for an injury claim and 2) what the right course of action should be.
Normally, this conversation with a passenger can happen over the course of 10 – 30 minutes. We’ll ask questions and answer questions and then advise the passenger of what the proper next steps might be.
Injuries that occur due to falls on cruise ships can be just accidents or they can be the result of negligence on part of the cruise line or its employees. Injuries sustained due to falls are commonplace — boats are unsteady, their is water on the deck….or a variety of other reasons may be taken into account.
If you’ve been injured in a fall, it is best to reach out to a law firm to better understand your rights. Your ability to seek compensation for your injuries may very well depend on that call.
