Royal Caribbean’s World’s Biggest Cruise Ship Nearing Completion in France

The world’s biggest cruise ship, Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas, is nearing completion at a shipyard in France. The goal is to have the ship operational for a May 2016 inaugural voyage, from Southhampton in Britain to the Spanish city of Barcelona.

Allure of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas, currently the world’s biggest cruise ships, are also owned and operated by Royal Caribbean cruise lines.

Harmony of the Seas will sail with more than 8,000 people aboard (over 6,000 passengers and over 2,000 crew), similar to numbers of people sailing with Carnival Cruise’s new vessels which are under construction.
