According to an early report this morning from WCIV in Charleston, South Carolina a passenger with an apparent knee injury was picked up by local EMS. The Carnival Cruise Ship was outside of Charleston, South Carolina when it turned around.
At this time, it’s not been reported which Carnival ship was in Charleston.
Per the report, “Charleston Fire and County EMS crews were dispatched Wednesday night to the cruise terminal in downtown Charleston to pick up an injured passenger.
Officials at Charleston Fire said they were assisting EMS with a sick passenger.
According to EMS officials, the passenger has a knee injury and needed to be returned to port.
The cruise ship could be seen coming back into port shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The cruise line has not commented on the matter. It is unclear how far out to sea the ship made it before having to turn around.”
