Federal agencies will investigate engine room fire on Carnival Triumph

 

According to various new sources, federal agencies will investigate the engine room fire that occurred on board the Carnival Triumph cruise ship on Sunday, Feb. 10.

The ship is scheduled to arrive in Mobile, Alabama on Thursday so the 3,143 passengers and 1,086 crew members can move to dry land.

In a CNN report, the “Coast Guard and the National Transportation Safety Board launched an investigation into the cause of the engine room fire. Because the Carnival Triumph is a Bahamian-flagged vessel, the Bahamas Maritime Authority is the primary investigative agency.”

Passengers deal with filthy conditions
