Carnival Alcohol Beverage Package Expands to Two More Ships

Carnival Cruise Lines has expanded the Cheers! program to two more ships, the  Carnival Legend and Carnival Conquest.

The all-you-can-drink alcohol package is now available on 6 cruise ships within the fleet:

  • Carnival Legend
  • Carnival Conquest
  • Carnival Dream
  • Carnival Victory
  • Carnival Splendor
  • Carnival Breeze

Details regarding the program show the cost as $42.95, per person, per day, (if one adult in a cabin purchases the package, all adults over 21 years old in that cabin must purchase).

Purchasers can select from a variety of wine, beer and spirits, up to a 15-drink maximum per day. All included beverages, such as wines by the glass, beers and individual cocktails, must cost less than $10.

For passengers looking to enjoy themselves while on vacation, the Cheers! program would seem to be a popular choice. It would also be assumed that Carnival Cruise Lines has researched the potential popularity of the program and balanced that popularity against the increased chance of alcohol induced accidents and issues.

It remains to see if programs like this will result in increased claims against Carnival and other cruise lines in the future.
