2 Crew Members Hurt in Cruise Ship Lifeboat Accident

According to a report by KHON2 in Hawaii yesterday (July 28, 2015) “two men were hurt while lowering a lifeboat from the ship when the lines gave way”.

The accident happened on Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America cruise ship which was docked in Hilo (the Big Island).

Per the article and according to the Hawaii County Fire Department, the “two men were in their 30s and were lowering a lifeboat from the ship.” The cause of the accident and the degree of their injury is not yet known. The crew members were taken to Hilo Medical Center.

There are currently no reports of injured passengers.
